April Lockhart
April Lockhart (born July 4 in 1995) started her journey in music at the age of 7 in which she began piano and guitar classes. When April was 12 She composed her debut single, Different. She spent a lot of the time of 14 writing songs and practicing music. Soon after, April started traveling with her father and to write songs at home in NY as well as LA. April also included additional topics in her hit song, Take my Hand. These topics were for friends that dealt with things like peer pressure issues or even teenage suicide ideas. Lockhart has become a sought-after lifestyle influencer, as well as having partnerships with clean beauty brands Ilia, has built a large fan base. Her birthplace didn't come with a left-hand, which is the reason she's what she is. However, that's not the whole story. The profile of Lockhart on Twitter does not conceal her status as disabled and does not make a point of it. The message? We all have multiple aspects that our identities are complex and that we are beyond our physical bodies. Lockhart has stated on video that she doesn't wish to be defined solely by her handicap. She does not want to be a disability advocate who only talks about disability. There are a lot of aspects to Lockhart. But it does not affect my daily routine. I do the normal things and have adapted to the limitations of my disability. Because it's an integral part of me It's a topic worthy of discussion. Self-acceptance is a long marathon but Lockhart is an absolute inspiration in this regard. However, she admits to going through periods of feeling insecure about her body, and also feeling uncomfortable in certain clothes which showed her arms. Now she wears whatever outfit she wants and posts pictures on her Facebook page with pride. She says that self-love is a journey. It's not clear when you'll reach the point of no return. It's a fact that I see with everyone with whatever the source of their anxiety. It's important to have people in your life who know and can relate to the way you feel. They will be the ones to ask what you worry about?
