Amy Adams in full Amy Lou Adams (born on 20th August 1974, Aviano Italy) American actress, particularly acclaimed for her critically acclaimed portrayals of naive and charming characters. Adams was the daughter of a U.S. Army officer in Italy and was raised in Castle Rock Colorado. In the mid-1990s she began acting and dancing professionally with the Boulder Dinner Theatre and the Country Dinner Playhouse in Colorado. She then moved to Minnesota and was a part of Drop Dead Gorgeous, a mock documentary about beauty contests. She moved from Minnesota to Los Angeles after making her debut on the screen as one of the contestants who was naive and good-natured. She was the wife of the actor Tony Curtis from June 1951 until September 1962, and was the mother of Kelly Curtis and Jamie Lee Curtis. Discovered by an actress Norma Shearer Leigh secured a contract with MGM and started her film career during the latter part of the 1940s. Over the next decade, Leigh appeared in a number of popular films such as Alfred Hitchcock Psycho (1960) as well as Living It Up (a Martin Lewis film released in 1954).).
